Tour Plan
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in the early afternoon in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and whisk you away to explore Zanzibar’s rich history for half-day adventure.
First stop—Maruhubi Palace! Once a luxurious harem palace built by Sultan Said Barghash for his concubines, this place is now a majestic ruin. Wander through the grand corridors and discover the hidden beauty of these historical structures with the ocean breeze from the nearby coast
Next, we visit Mtoni Palace, one of Zanzibar’s most famous royal residences. Once the most beautiful palace on the island, it has now been lovingly restored to showcase its former grandeur. Walk through the stone chambers and imagine the splendor of the Sultan’s golden era.
Now, it's time to experience a true Zanzibari tradition—a live coffee-making ceremony! Watch as the beans are roasted, ground, and brewed right before your eyes. Take in the rich aroma, and of course, sample some of this delicious coffee. Want to make the experience even more memorable? Take a donkey ride around the palace ruins as you sip your cup of freshly brewed coffee.
What’s a visit to Zanzibar without exploring its famous spice trade? The island’s history is rooted in the spice plantations of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper. We’ll take you to a spice farm, where you can see how these spices are grown and harvested. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a fresh fruit tasting straight from the plantations—juicy, ripe, and oh-so-delicious!
As the day winds down, the real flavor fest begins! Head to Forodhani Gardens in Stone Town, where the famous street food festival takes place every evening. The air fills with the aromas of grilled seafood, Zanzibar pizza, and local delicacies. This is one of the world’s most famous street food events, where you’ll get to taste the flavors that make Zanzibar so unique. From fresh octopus to sugarcane juice, it’s a food lover’s paradise.
After a delicious time at the Street Food Festival, we’ll transport you back to your hotel, full of incredible memories and maybe a few souvenirs!
