Day 01 :

– Arrival in Avignon

Arrive in the historic city of Avignon, once the papal seat and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. At 4:30 pm, transfer to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where vineyards and ruins of the papal castle welcome you. Check into your cozy hotel and prepare for a week of wine, culture, and adventure

Day 02 :

– Walking Loops in Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Choose between two scenic loops (or do both!):
• A gentle 7 km stroll (2h45) through ancient red-rock vineyards, glowing in the Provençal sun.
• A longer 11 km walk (4h15) connecting prestigious estates like Vaudieu, Nalys, and Solitude, each offering tastings of powerful reds and surprising whites with notes of almond and honeysuckle.

Day 03 :

– Séguret → Gigondas → Vacqueyra

Transfer to Séguret, one of France’s most beautiful villages. Walk along farm paths overlooking the Rhône Valley, arriving at Gigondas, famed for its bold reds. Climb toward the jagged Dentelles de Montmirail before descending into Vacqueyras, another jewel in the world of wine

Day 04 :

– Vacqueyras → Le Barroux

Cross untamed hillsides and stumble upon mysterious ruins and ancient cave dwellings. Descend into Beaumes-de-Venise to taste its golden Muscat wine, then climb to Le Barroux, where a 12th-century castle crowns the quiet village

Day 05 :

– Le Barroux → Malaucène

The silhouette of Mont Ventoux dominates today’s path. Walk shaded trails of pine and cedar, visit the chapel of Piaut, once a place of prayer for rain, and descend to Malaucène.
Optional Loop: Extend your walk into Mont Ventoux’s northern slopes (17 km / 5h), discovering remote chapels, truffle-oak groves, and breathtaking panoramas.

Day 06 :

– Malaucène → Le Crestet → Vaison-la-Romaine

Follow thyme-scented trails to the perched village of Le Crestet. Continue into Vaison-la-Romaine, home to the largest archaeological site in France, blending Roman ruins with medieval streets

Day 07 :

– Departure

Transfer back to Avignon. Time to say au revoir to Provence—but the taste of wine, views, and memories will stay forever
