Overview
This section of the GR10 will lead you through the Basque Country and into the rugged Béarn region of the Pyrenees. Expect lively cultural encounters in small French-Basque villages, encounters with shepherds and their flocks, and panoramic views of towering peaks like Pic d’Anie (2504m).
You’ll wander through Iraty Forest, cross the thrilling Holzarté footbridge suspended high above gorges, and end in the Aspe Valley at Etsaut — gateway to the Pyrenees National Park.
