This fourth section of the GR10 unfolds in two distinct chapters:
- From Cauterets to Barèges – Through the historic Pays Toy, passing villages with healing thermal springs, the panoramic Col de Riou, and the stunning Vallée Lumière where marmots and mountain goats roam freely.
- From Barèges to Luchon – Across the high Pyrenean wilderness, over 2000m passes, and the turquoise lakes of the Néouvielle Nature Reserve. The path winds past Saint-Lary-Soulan, Germ, the mythical Lac d’Espingo, before the grand finale in Luchon, the “Belle of the Pyrenees.”
