Overview

This fourth section of the GR10 unfolds in two distinct chapters:

  1. From Cauterets to Barèges – Through the historic Pays Toy, passing villages with healing thermal springs, the panoramic Col de Riou, and the stunning Vallée Lumière where marmots and mountain goats roam freely.
  2. From Barèges to Luchon – Across the high Pyrenean wilderness, over 2000m passes, and the turquoise lakes of the Néouvielle Nature Reserve. The path winds past Saint-Lary-Soulan, Germ, the mythical Lac d’Espingo, before the grand finale in Luchon, the “Belle of the Pyrenees.”
