Named after the many artists who once painted its landscapes, the Malerweg (Painter’s Path) is a legendary 70 km hiking route in Saxon Switzerland, near Dresden. Voted Germany’s Most Beautiful Hiking Trail 2017, the trail weaves through dramatic rock formations, fairy-tale forests, fortresses, waterfalls, and picturesque villages.
You’ll walk at your own pace, supported by detailed maps, a GPS app, and daily luggage transfers. This is a self-guided holiday, but every detail is arranged for you. Your evenings are spent in cozy 4-star hotels with hearty dinners included.
